Grangou has been assisting with renting homes for Travay Bondye since the doors opened in 2010 and is currently in their 5th property. This has been difficult since standard family homes are not designed to accommodate large numbers and moving frequently is disruptive to the children who already have a history of instability. The great news is, we have the opportunity to change this! The current home, as of October 2017, is for sale and it was designed as a home for children! It has 7 small houses (9 rooms) on a large property each with their own bathrooms and shower. There is a large yard, basketball court, storage and a covered multipurpose room for meals and group meetings. It is perfect! The cost of the property is $285,000 plus legal fees. We need your help to complete the purchase! Can you commit to a one-time donation or a recurring payment for the next year to help us reach this goal and provide stability, safety and a HOME for the kids? June 2020 – Update! We made the down payment of $100,000 and our first payment. Our next payment of $60,000 is due in September 2020 and $47,000 is due in September 2021. We have the $60,000 for September 2020 plus another $23,000 to go for the final payment. We need only $24,000 to complete the purchase and roughly$14,000 in legal and transfer fees and then the kids can have a PERMANENT HOME! Almost there!
